Shipping a vehicle. Things you need to know.

Here are moments that will need your attention during the process of delivery of a car or a motorcycle.

1. There are 3 methods of cargo delivery:

1. Using an ordinary shipping container;
2. A vehicle is driven right on the ship;
3. If the previous method is unavailable, then a vehicle can be put on a flatrack container (it doesn’t have top or sides).

Note that you will have to bring the car to the place of shipping by yourself or discuss this question with the transport company.

2. The cost of delivery depends on a bunch of factors, such as carrier expenses, taxes, place of destination, customs clearances etc.
3. There are a lot of different insurance packages that will provide you additional confidence. They all depend on cost of the cargo you are going to deliver, the place of destination, the size.
4. You should be ready to provide all the necessary documentation for your cargo, otherwise the process of delivery will take much more time.
5. Remember – in some countries right-handed cars are permitted.
6. You should prepare the vehicle in advance – remove all your personal items, wash and clean the vehicle, disconnect its battery.
